COLORADO SPRINGS. A new documentary on Our Lady of Guadalupe and recent studies on St. Juan Diego’s tilma will be featured on a special tour in the Diocese of Colorado Springs May 24-30. “The Blood and the Rose” aims to tell “the complete untold story of the Virgin of Guadalupe,” covering hundreds of years of history leading up to Our Lady’s apparitions to St. Juan Diego in 1531 in what is now Mexico City, as well as reflecting on the tilma itself and the spread of the devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe around the world today.
